During the month of Ramadan, the Islamic community gathers for Iftar (breaking the fast) and the welcome extends to needy communities that need basic food resources. Thousands of newly arrived refugees in Brazil find in the mosques the support of a home, strengthening their religiosity and congregating in this sacred period.

In the struggle to change these realities, FAMBRAS developed the Iftar Brazil Project, which serves these brothers in a situation of social and economic vulnerability. Together with international organizations, tons of food and financial resources are donated to the entities. It is through this action that the fast-breaking dinners are held in Brazilian mosques.
