Ações e Projetos que levam conhecimento sobre o Islam
The Know Islam project began in 2009 with the aim of bringing Islamic culture and wisdom to the Brazilian population. In practice, the action takes place through the free distribution of Islamic books to adherents and non-religionists in various places and events throughout the country. More than 5 million people have already been reached.
Through lectures and interactive exhibitions, FAMBRAS provides a differentiated experience for children and young people from schools in Brazil.
The success of the Know Islam project led FAMBRAS to participate in one of the most important cultural events in the world, the International Book Biennial. The event takes place in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and attracts thousands of people, especially young people eager for knowledge.
The Course “The Islamic World – Culture, Society and State” promotes knowledge of Islamic culture. Initially conceived by FAMBRAS together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today the course is intended for the Federal Government, reaching the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply and other professional bodies such as the Brazilian Bar Association.
Aimed at children and pre-teens, the Khalil comic book conveys an important message to fight Islamophobia, showing that the world is a much better and more fun place without prejudice. With the simple and fun language of the comic book, thousands of young people can absorb the message of peace and respect. The adventures of Khalil and his gang reach underprivileged schools and communities with the aim of encouraging reading and investing in the education of Brazilian children.
