Eid Al-Adha, an Islamic holiday known as the feast of sacrifice, is held on the tenth day of the month of pilgrimage (Hajj). The festival proposes that Muslims make the lawful slaughter of animals so that the meat is shared with families and needy people.
It is a true celebration of the human being's extreme capacity for loyalty to his Creator, as it recalls the test to which the Prophet Abraham was subjected by God. International entities finance the lawful slaughter of meat and make donations to several mosques in São Paulo.
